I finally got sick of standing in the doorway with Luke when the front loader was digging and dumping and thought I should just get him a chair. He sat there for at least 30 minutes.
Here they are today before school watching Claire's favorite choice of truck, the mixer.
My only irritation to this is that Luke now periodically goes to the front door with a toy truck in hand crying "Out!" All. Day.
But I do feel this is better than what he has been trying to bring in the house lately.

When my girls were little, we usually went looking for construction to watch! Great entertainment!
Love the picture with Luke trying to push the lawn mower into the dining room. He LOVES that "mo." Can't beat that free entertainment across the street. We had to rush out one morning in footy pajamas to watch the little Bobcat scooting around in the front yard. Luke's got big dreams of a "life with trucks."
I love that every little boy goes through a truck phase!
Okay, I just have to add that today Luke lined up TWO of the big plastic city garbage cans by the side door. When he realized he couldn't get them through the door, I saw these little hands reaching up to hold the handles as he pushed both cans into the backyard. What a strong, determined, cute little boy! Must take after his Grandma RoRo! :-) Talk about cheap entertainment....
